George and Catherine Lindahl, community leaders and long-time supporters of
Interfaith of The Woodlands, have been named Honorary Chairs of The Woodlands
2009 Celebration of Excellence gala, benefiting Interfaith of The Woodlands,
according to Dr. Ann Snyder, president and CEO of the non-profit organization.
“The Lindahls’ ongoing dedication to this community is amazing, and we are honored that they
are our Honorary Chairs of this wonderful event,
” shared Snyder.
The 2009 Hometown Heroes—residents and businesses or institutions that serve as outstanding role models
for volunteerism and dedication to The Woodlands community
—will be inducted into the Hometown Heroes Hall of Fame at the gala, scheduled
for Saturday,
Oct. 3, at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center. This
annual tradition began in conjunction with The Woodlands
|
25th Anniversary Celebration in 1999. Since that time, 75 individuals and six
businesses have been selected to receive the prestigious award.
Nomination forms for the 2009 Hometown Heroes are available online at www.thewoodlands.net and www.woodlandsinterfaith.org. Deadline for nominations is Friday, Aug. 21.
Along with the honorary chairs, other community members are joining together
with Interfaith of The Woodlands to plan the event.
“Interfaith of The Woodlands is fortunate to have such an outstanding group of
individuals from the community dedicating their time to this celebration,
” stated Snyder.
