Interfaith’s Food Pantry Continues to Need Items.
Interfaith of The Woodlands’ Food Pantry is in need of food and is asking the community to help stock its
food pantry shelves by donating food and other nonperishable items.
“The need for non-perishable food items continues to rise during the summer
months,
” said Rosemary Sepulveda, manager of Interfaith’s Family Services. “The economy has had an effect on the increase in number of clients we have
helped this year with food. Also, individuals
’ rising electric bills and their children being home from school have a major
effect in the number of clients we have each summer.
”
Since the beginning of the year, Interfaith of The Woodlands has helped 1,737
families with food valued at more than $145,000.
Keeping the pantry shelves adequately stocked and ready for distribution for the
growing demand of the community is always a challenge. Interfaith relies on
help from the community through food drives and donations to fill the shelves
of the pantry.
