s your glass half full? From the looks of the glasses shared at the recent Wine Walk and The American Cancer Society ’s Wine Tasting, I triumphantly say, “Yes!” A lunch,  dinner and kick off party complete this month’s column where The Woodlands’ glasses were definitely overflowing with red, white and some bubbly! Toast our country as we celebrate America ’s birthday, our community and the many freedoms we enjoy each day. Take a moment to give
thanks to those who have provided us the luxury of throwing parties, attending fundraisers, lining the streets to watch parades, jumping in fountains, enjoying concerts and living in peace. Cheers!

Cattle Baron’s
Wine Tasting Event
American Cancer Society of Montgomery County’s “Kickin’ It Up a Notch” Cattle Baron’s Wine Tasting at Bernhardt’s Winery in Plantersville held true to its theme during the successful benefit. Guests enjoyed wine and entertainment by Kevin Black on a beautiful afternoon at the local vineyard. The event is a prelude to the annual Montgomery County Cattle Baron ’s Ball, scheduled to take place in October. Photos credit to Jeffrey Wheat.

Go Red for Women Luncheon
The color red symbolizes passion, courage, love and sacrifice. Picture more than 500 business, hospital and community leaders from Montgomery and Northwest Harris counties in one ballroom, dressed in red and the color symbolically takes on a renewed meaning of empowerment. The American Heart Association ’s Go Red for Women Luncheon in Montgomery County had all the fire the color red is known for, including fabulous guest and keynote speakers. Great Day Houston host, Deborah Duncan, emceed the event which also boasted shopping and a clever “Purse-onality” auction.
