“March for Babies”
Teams of friends, families and co-workers joined together at Lone Star College
on a beautiful, sunny Sunday to become champions for pregnancy and healthy
babies at the recent
“March for Babies Walk.” The premier fundraising event for March of Dimes was an incredible and
inspiring event, as those walking celebrated baby angels who were here and
honored those who passed away.

The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion Reopens!
With much anticipation, The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion reopened just in
time to celebrate its 20th season. Renovations to the venue started in December
2008 and have been completed in time for The Pavilion
’s 20th season. Crowds swarmed the area to hear The Dave Matthews Band open for
The Pavilion early last month.

Could you imagine the size of closet housing 800 pairs of shoes? How about the
size of the smiles of the folks receiving the shoes? Volunteers at Interfaith
of The Woodlands will have to tell us when they share the recent donation made
by the Woodlands Church. Churchgoers were asked to
“give the shoes off their feet” and donate them to individuals in crisis. With more than 1,600 shoes in tow,
they answered the calling.

an Interfaith volunteer.
Stock up on some extra pencils, papers and backpacks and prepare to give back at
Interfaith
’s annual Back to School Drive. The organization is gearing up to provide school
supply assistance to help families who are experiencing financial need with
purchasing school supplies for the 2009-2010 school year. The Back to School
Drive kicks off this month.
