The Kink Team, led by Realtors Bruce and Diane Kink, now spearheads sales of custom homes and homesites in Woodforest, working with
builders, homebuyers and other Realtors to promote the community and coordinate
custom home sales.
“We essentially work as the custom sales arm for the development,” Bruce Kink said. “We promote the custom home products, put prospective buyers in touch with the
custom builders and make sure the buyers are well-served.
”
The Kink Team, part of Keller Williams - The Woodlands, has been named one of
the top 10
Realtor teams in the Houston area the past four years by the Houston Business
Journal and is ranked in the top 30 Realtors among Keller Williams
’ 75,000 agents. The team has worked primarily in The Woodlands-Conroe-Montgomery
County region, with an emphasis onluxury properties.
“Woodforest has a lot going for it,” Bruce said. “It has a strong development team, with Virgil Yoakum, who was vital to the
success of The Woodlands, and Kristi Steward, who has a great deal of marketing
experience. Woodforest also has attracted the top builders in the area and it
has a great location near all of the area
’s amenities.
“The pricing in Woodforest is also very appealing,” Bruce said. “You will not find anywhere in Montgomery County a selection of golf course
custom properties in a master-planned community like Woodforest without paying
a heavy premium.
”
“Custom homes are an integral part of the Woodforest community and we are very
fortunate to partner with such a knowledgeable and well-respected sales team,
” said Susie Goff, who oversees the custom sales division of The Johnson Development Corp.’s residential development projects, including Woodforest. “The Kink Team brings us years of professionalism to represent our custom
builders.

Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Hospital has achieved one of the highest levels of recognition a hospital can receive—Magnet recognition for excellence in nursing services by the American Nurses
Credentialing Center
’s Magnet Recognition Program. Memorial Hermann The Woodlands is the first
hospital in Montgomery County and North Houston to earn this prestigious
recognition. Only 6.2 percent of all health care organizations in the United
States have achieved Magnet status.
The Magnet Recognition Program recognizes health care organizations that
demonstrate excellence in nursing practice and adherence to national standards
for the organization and delivery of nursing services. To become Magnet
recognized, hospitals undergo a rigorous evaluation that includes extensive
interviews and review of nursing services. Magnet is more than a Nursing
certification; it is a culture involving the entire team working
collaboratively with nursing to achieve this honor.
“The Magnet recognition is a tremendous achievement for our hospital,” said Jacquenette Chambers-McBride, RN, MSN, CNS, CCRN, FCCS, interim chief nursing officer and director of
critical care services at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands.
“It recognizes the excellent work our nurses do each day and rewards the
commitment of our entire staff to serve as a team, providing the highest
quality care possible for our patients and our community. We are also proud to
say that our hospital earned a unanimous vote from Magnet officials.
”
Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Hospital is implementing a new program to conserve natural resources and create a
healthier environment for patients, staff and visitors.
“Our goal is to be sensibly green,” said Steve Sanders, CEO of Memorial Hermann The Woodlands. “Sustainable practices go hand-in-hand with our mission to keep patients,
employees and our community well.
”
Memorial Hermann The Woodlands’ overall goal is to recycle, reduce and reuse through a number of green
initiatives. In addition to campus-wide recycling of cardboard, paper, aluminum
and plastic, the hospital has implemented green cleaning practices.
Environmentally-friendly cleaning products are used when possible.
Other EPA green-compliant projects include the use of 100 percent recycled paper
towels and tissue, and the installation of automated dispensers in restrooms, a
technology proven to reduce waste.
According to Jeff Kouts, director of environmental services at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands, the
hospital is on pace to dispose of 2 million pounds of waste this year.
“Last year, we diverted approximately 11 percent of our waste from landfills,” said Kouts. “Through the implementation of our new green practices, we have set a new goal
moving forward
—to divert 50 percent of our waste from landfills.”
