Was that a cool breeze that just blew by? A girl can dream, right?

Wipe that sweat off your brow, you have just about made it through another Texas summer! After a recent trip to New York, where the daytime high was Houston ’s overnight low, I smirked as I watched the New Yorkers struggle

in the heat during their “hot” days. Being back home in The Woodlands, I noticed that north Houstonians take it all in stride —enjoying each warm day, knowing our heated days are numbered. What a blessing to realize the beautiful fall days we cherish are right around the corner. Along with those precious days, comes a calendar full of social events. Check out the “Happenings” pages for upcoming galas, luncheons and festivals to attend. While you are out and about, look for me …with my camera in hand, so you too can be “Scene in The Woodlands!”

An Evening at the Fazio hosted by Winstead PC

Winstead PC hosted its first annual community outreach event in The Woodlands benefitting The Montgomery County Women ’s Center. Inspired by an idea from managing shareholder Jeffrey Harder to help an organization in the community, “An Evening at the Fazio” was born. Nearly 120 attorneys, clients and friends of the firm gathered at the Fazio Clubhouse in Carlton Woods Creekside to support The Montgomery County Women ’s Center’s mission to serve the victims and survivors of family violence, sexual assault, stalking and sexual abuse in Montgomery, Harris and Liberty counties.
